Girton College Choir performs music unheard for 400 years

Girton’s Director of Chapel Music, Gareth Wilson, tells the story of how the College Choir discovered the music of Marc'Antonio Ingegneri and explains why they are making a second CD to showcase it this week. 

You can hear some of Ingegneri’s works performed live by the Choir with the Cornetts and Sackbuts of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on Sunday 18 July at 7pm (at St Luke's, Chelsea). This may be the first time for over 400 years that some of these pieces have been heard.
