The ROOTS initiative at Girton was born from a deep belief that the complex challenges of our world — climate change, sustainability, and social justice — require solutions that cross disciplinary boundaries.
The aim is to create a collaborative space where students can learn, lead, and make a tangible difference. Through seminars, student-led research projects, field visits, and public lectures, ROOTS will offer opportunities for Girton students to explore how knowledge translates into real-world impact.
