A meeting room linked to outdoor events is a fairly rare offering, which may explain why our John Marks Pavilion is so popular, with a number of organisations holding their annual events here. Named for the late Sir John Marks, a medic who was one of Girton’s first male Fellows and a keen supporter of sport and general wellbeing, the Pavilion overlooks the College’s cricket ground and is close to the other sports facilities.
For events with an outdoor element – team-building activities or alfresco dining, for example – the Pavilion is the perfect choice. It’s also popular for retirement parties when the subject has a sporting or outdoor interest, and we can offer sandwiches, buffet or barbecue catering.
